Technical Quantity Surveyor – Aluminium Systems
My client are a leading aluminium systems house supplying window, door and curtain walling solutions to fabricators and commercial projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Technical Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial and technical teams.
This role is ideal for someone early in their QS career (around 2–4 years’ experience) who has exposure to aluminium systems, façade packages, or specialist subcontracting.
The Role:
Support pricing and commercial review of aluminium window, door and curtain wall systems
Review drawings, schedules and specifications to assist with take-offs and cost analysis
Assist with tender preparation and technical-commercial submissions
Support contract administration, variations and cost tracking
Work closely with estimating, technical and sales teams to ensure commercial accuracy
Help identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
Experience:
2–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
Experience within aluminium systems, glazing, façades or building envelope preferred
Ability to read architectural drawings
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Commercially aware with a proactive, team-focused attitude
Degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction (or working towards)
