Responsibilities and duties of the Chartered Senior Structural Engineer role
Within the role you will:
Perform structural engineering work, including design, site work, and report writing
Deliver conforming to relevant Codes of Practice, Design Guides, and the Building Safety Act 2022
Produce detailed structural calculations, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation, specifications and risk assessments.
Carry out site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
Train and develop junior staff within the company in your areas of expertise
Support the commercial aspects of projects, including cost estimates and budgeting.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Minimum three years' experience in structural design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software.
Strong understanding of Eurocode design for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
Experience in report writing and preparing structural calculations.
Commercial awareness of project costs, budgets, and quotations.
Chartership Status with CEng, ICE or IStructE
