An established and well-regarded architectural practice based in York is seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technician to join its team. The practice works across a broad range of sectors including residential, heritage, commercial and community projects, delivering thoughtful and well-resolved architecture across the UK.
The successful candidate will join a busy team responsible for smaller-scale projects and housebuilder clients. The team manages up to 15 projects at any one time, ranging from house extensions and residential alterations through to small housing developments, typically progressing from feasibility and planning through to technical design, tender and site services. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment suited to someone who enjoys multitasking, working across several projects simultaneously, and taking ownership of their work within a supportive team.

Daily Duties
Working on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting the delivery of residential and small development schemes
Preparing architectural drawings and technical information using AutoCAD and Revit
Assisting with and managing planning applications
Producing drawings and documentation for RIBA Stage 4 tender packages
Supporting the team with technical detailing and Building Regulations compliance
Assisting with site services and contract administration where required
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently
Ideal Candidate
Qualified Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technician, or equivalent professional experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience preparing and submitting planning applications
Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, the York Design Code, and the RIBA Stage 4 tender process
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Comfortable working relatively independently without the need for close supervision
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience using Photoshop and InDesign would be beneficial
Candidates should ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance of York
