Senior Electrical Estimator — Up to £100k + Package

London Projects | Tier 1 Contractor Environment

I’m working with a well-established main contractor delivering complex projects across London, and they’re looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team.

This isn’t a “pricing from drawings in isolation” role.

They want someone commercially sharp, technically credible, and confident engaging with delivery teams — someone who understands how M&E packages are actually built, not just costed.

You’ll be working on a mix of major commercial, healthcare, life sciences, and complex refurbishment schemes across London, typically ranging from £10m – £150m+ project values.

The Role

Leading electrical estimating packages from tender enquiry through to final submission

Producing detailed cost plans, take-offs, and pricing strategies

Reviewing specifications, drawings, and employer’s requirements

Liaising with supply chain to obtain competitive quotations

Working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and technical services teams

Identifying value engineering opportunities and risk allowances

Supporting bid presentations and client engagement where required

This is a senior position with genuine influence over project wins — not just number crunching.

Ideal backgrounds include:

Electrical Estimator within a main contractor or M&E contractor

Experience pricing projects in the £5m – £30m+ MEP range

Strong understanding of electrical systems (LV, HV, lighting, containment, BMS integration etc.)

Ability to interpret technical information and challenge designs commercially

Stable career history with credible employers

Comfortable working within a collaborative pre-construction environment

Senior-level candidates or strong Estimators ready to step up will both be considered.

Salary & Package

Up to £100,000 base salary

Car allowance / travel allowance

Bonus

Private healthcare

Pension

Genuine progression into Pre-Construction leadership

Why This Role

Long-term pipeline of secured London projects

Strong reputation for delivering technically complex schemes

Stable business with repeat clients

Clear career progression pathway

Supportive senior leadership team

The Reality

They want someone who:

Understands delivery

Thinks commercially

Challenges assumptions

Adds value to bids

Takes ownership
