Are you a fire safety specialist ready to take on a role where your expertise directly protects people and properties? We’re seeking a Fire Risk Officer to join our Health and Safety team, ensuring our buildings meet the highest standards of fire safety and compliance.

Your Responsibilities

* Conduct fire risk assessments (PAS 79) for high-risk buildings, identifying hazards and recommending action plans.

* Audit third-party fire risk assessments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

* Liaise with fire authorities, contractors, and local agencies to maintain safety standards.

* Manage fire safety projects, from inspections to training, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.

* Investigate fire-related incidents, communicate findings, and implement improvements.

* Deliver training to staff and residents, fostering a culture of fire safety awareness.

What You Need to Succeed

* Essential:

* Proven experience in fire safety, risk assessment, and compliance within housing, construction, or property management.

* Minimum 2 years’ experience conducting fire risk inspections and producing detailed reports.

* Up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation (e.g., Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005).

* Fire Safety and Fire Risk Assessment training (Institute of Fire Engineers or equivalent).

* Strong communication skills—able to engage stakeholders at all levels.

* Full driving licence (travel between sites required).

* Desirable:

* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

* Experience in affordable or social housing.

* Asbestos training or Domestic Energy Assessor qualification.
